I’m so excited. This came just in time for our Mothers Day BBQ on Sunday!
The packaging is so beautiful. It would definitely be good for Father’s Day Gift.
Everything is packed nice and tight.
All items come with information cards and recipe ideas.
Lillie’s Q BBQ Ivory Sauce. Value $8.
Champion pitmaster Charlie McKenna of Chicago’s Lillie’s Q restaurants is the mind behind this peppery, Alabama-style sauce with a mayonnaise and vinegar base for a regional slant on poultry, seafood, fries and more.
The recipe is for a grilled coleslaw using the sauce. I will be making this Sunday! I love the taste! Not too sweet or tangy.
The San Francisco Salt Company Hawaiian Lava Salt. Value $6.
Black Hawaiian Lava salt enhances food with a crisp, bold taste. These salts are harvested from pacific waters using traditional methods of solar evaporation, allowing the salt crystals to form with the much desired trace minerals intact. The salt obtains its natural and dramatic coloring from activated coconut shell charcoal which is infused with the salt for its numerous health benefits which include antioxidant properties and enhanced digestive health. Hawaiian lava salt is best used as a finishing salt for foods and desserts.
The recipe is for Chocolate Covered Salted Caramel Cups! I’m drooling just reading it! This may be on the menu Sunday as well. It looks super simple! (I still have caramel from my Prospurly Box too!)
Willamette Valley Jalapeno Y Vino Mustard. Value $6. It’s called Mustard for Brats! Haha!
Wine, jalapenos, and mustard, what a great combination. Great with hamburgers, cold cuts, bratwurst, and cheese. Gives zip to your favorite sauces.
The recipe is for Croque-Monsieur. A baked sandwich with ham, chesse, and a béchamel sauce made with the mustard. This looks like quite a bit of work. I think I’ll just use this on burgers! I like the spice this has. Not too spicy!
1849 Tri-tip Meat Marinade. Value $10. A marinade for tri-tip, sirloin tips, Porterhouse, and T-bone steaks.
The recipe is for a side dish for your meat. Panchetta wrapped asparagus with Citronette. Grilled Panchetta asparagus with a simple sauce to drizzle over it. It sounds delicious. I’m thinking this should also be on the Sunday menu!
Two Snooty Chefs Hungarian Ragout Spice Blend. Value $7. The recipe is for a Hungarian Mushroom Soup to pair with beef entrees. It calls for a cauliflower cream and the recipe for that is listed as well. It is quite a bit of work. I’ll have to find another recipe. This is something I would make in the winter.
Total Value $37 not including shipping costs. Cost of the box $39.99 with free shipping. Or $33 with a 3 month subscription.
I loved the curation of this box. The items are for main dishes, side dishes, and a desert! And if your unsure what to do with them, you can always use the recipes. The packaging makes it great for gift giving. I can’t help but think how awesome this would be for a Father’s Day gift! Which is next month. $99 for 3 months of gifts! Or buy the Mothers Day Trunk with Free Sweet Trunk for a one time gift! You can check them out HERE!
